Hebe ‘Fairlane’ forms a low-growing and fairly compact evergreen bush, reaching 12 in
(30 cm) high, and 24 in (60 cm) or more wide. The grey-green leaves are oval, about 0.5–0.6 in
(12–16 mm) long, and 0.2–4 in (6–10 mm) wide; young leaves have reddish edges.
The flowers are light violet, summer. A hebe fully hardy in the UK.
This hardy hebe is a cross between Hebe pinguifolia and possibly Hebe ‘Youngii’,
raised in 1970 by Graham Hutchins of the County Park Nursery, Hornchurch,
Essex, UK.
