Hebe ‘Franciscana’

Hebe ‘Franciscana’ forms a rounded evergreen bush, up to 40–80 in (1–2 m) high. The oval leaves are dark, glossy green, 1.6–2.8 in (4–7 cm) long. The rich violet-blue flowers are in dense clusters 1.6–3.2 in (4–8 cm) long. This is a cross between Hebe elliptica and Hebe speciosa. The form Blue Gem is not longer regarded as distinct from other forms of the cross. A valuable plant for seaside landscaping. A hebe fairly hardy in the UK. |
